Duct cleaning

How often should ductwork be cleaned?

It depends on the building and its use. For healthcare, NADCA ACR 2021 lists a one-year inspection interval for AHUs, supply and exhaust ducts. ASHRAE 180 also calls for regular HVAC inspection. We recommend inspecting first and cleaning when contamination is evident, rather than on the calendar alone.

Will you need to cut openings in my ceiling?

Usually not. We work through existing diffusers, grilles, louvres and access panels, and our duct robot and rotary-brush extension rods reach long runs and risers from those same openings.

What treatments do you use after cleaning?

After source removal we apply an anti-microbial treatment — fogged onto room surfaces, and sprayed into ducts, plenums and risers — to help resist regrowth of bacteria, fungi and mould. Safety data sheets are kept on site.

Can you work in occupied hospitals?

Yes. At Hospital Shah Alam we cleaned 21 isolation rooms inside the facility manager’s ward shutdown schedule, with parallel teams and full documentation.

Robotic cleaning & inspection

What does your duct robot do?

Our in-house robot has a 3D-printed body, onboard camera and compressed-air nozzle. It drives along horizontal ducts and plenums — or is lowered into vertical shafts on a tether — films the run, and blasts deposits off the walls so they can be captured by HEPA vacuum. It doesn’t climb: vertical risers are brushed from below with a drill-driven rotary brush on extension rods.

Do I get the footage?

Yes. Robot footage, photos and video are part of the deliverables and form a baseline for future inspections.

Air conditioning & maintenance

Which systems do you service?

Split, cassette, ducted, VRF/VRV, packaged and rooftop units, FCUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers and associated pumps and controls.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes — from quarterly PPM through to critical-facility programmes with robotic cleaning, TAB verification and 24/7 response. See How we work.

Refurbish or replace?

Many units can be refurbished for far less than replacement — coils, fans, motors, insulation, drain pans and casings. We assess each unit and give you both options honestly.

Oil & gas

Can you retrofit HVAC for hazardous areas?

Yes. We scope electrical and component upgrades to suit your site’s area classification, along with corrosion-resistant coils, coatings and stainless hardware, and pressurisation controls for control and switch rooms.

Do you work under permit-to-work systems?

Yes. Method statements, risk assessments and job plans are prepared to your site’s permit-to-work and shutdown requirements.

Indoor air quality

What do you measure in an IAQ assessment?

CO₂, CO, temperature, humidity, PM2.5/PM10, total VOCs, formaldehyde and airborne bacteria and fungi, compared against the DOSH ICOP-IAQ 2010 limits.

What are the key limits?

For example, below 500 CFU/m³ for airborne bacteria and 1,000 CFU/m³ for fungi. Comfort targets are typically CO₂ ≤ 1,000 ppm, 23–26 °C and 40–70% RH.
